🔺IMPORTANT NOTE:
Dogs are not born with the required enzyme needed to break down plant cell walls called cellulose. Therefore, it is important to cook/blend/purée/dehydrate or steam to allow them fully enjoy the full nutritional benefits of all fruits and vegetables.
🔺FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS:
Large dogs can eat 4 pieces a day.
Medium dogs can have 2-3 pieces a day.
Small dogs should only have 1 piece per day.
Added fruits and veggies should not exceed more than 10% of a dog or cat’s daily intake!
🔺STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
Best stored in the freezer in a sealed package or container.

Carrots are an excellent low calorie, low fat food full of antioxidants, vitamin A, potassium, fiber and is an appropriate treat for dogs with diabetes. If your dog or cat is a grass eater, carrots might also be a favored alternative.

Carrots are packed full of powerful antioxidants made up of compounds potent enough to reduce free radicals caused by toxins found in food and environment. Free radicals are volatile atoms that attack healthy cells, leading to premature aging and cancers.

Carrots contain soluble fiber that can regulate bowel movement, bulk stool, and encourage good bacteria. Potassium works to maintain fluid balance, assist in the proper function of nerves, enzymes and muscles, all of which leads to better digestion.
🔸ENHANCED EYE HEALTH:
Beta-Carotene is an antioxidant found in carrots that is important for maintaining optimal vision and eye health. Vitamin A found in carrots might also boost immunity, particularly in the skin, coat & eyes. As such, carrots may be an important dietary addition for breeds prone to cataracts.
